GETTING HERE

No matter where you’re coming from, there are a variety of ways to get to Toccoa!

BY CAR

When we say Toccoa is at the heart of Northeast Georgia, we really do mean it - all roads lead to Toccoa! The newest way to arrive in style is via the New Highway 17 expansion, locally known as the Currahee Parkway. This new four-lane highway connects much of Habersham and Stephens Counties. Of course, you can take it almost all the way to Savannah if you so choose.

BY TRAIN

The classic way to arrive in Toccoa is by rail. Toccoa’s Amtrak station, one of only three in Georgia, rests on the Southern Crescent line, which runs from New Orleans to New York City. While you’re at Toccoa’s station, stop in the Welcome Center and visit the Currahee Military Museum. They are located in the Historic Train Depot along with the Amtrak station.

BY PLANE

If you’d prefer to fly, Toccoa Airport, also known as R.G. LeTourneau Air field, sees dozens of airplanes a week. Take in the scenic view as you fly 10,000 feet over the Georgia Mountains. As you approach the airport, you will see the welcoming City of Toccoa. The Northeast Georgia mountains will always welcome you home.

She started this site back in 2008, but didn't actually blog until some time in 2009 when she began writing reviews of some of her favorite movies.

Cheryl grew up in Florida and has lived in Arizona and California. She currently resides in Georgia. She's a millennial but she doesn't really act like one. Still itching to learn more? Here are a few more tidbits about Cheryl:

♥ She was born in Jamaica ♥ She doesn't enjoy cooking ♥ Everyone thinks she has two dimples, but alas, she only has one ♥ She's the type of girl who looks over a high ledge even if it freaks her out ♥ She's a movie nerd and will watch Star Wars over Never Been Kissed any day ♥ She's afraid of lipstick ♥ She used to have dogs named Inigo Montoya (from The Princess Bride) and Kelevra (from Lucky Number Slevin) ♥ She can be blunt to a fault ♥ She thinks she's smarter than the average Yogi ♥”
