School System

From the Stephens County School System website:

In today’s education world we hear a lot about accountability. The Stephens County School System is proud to be accountable to the community in several ways:

  • Accountability has been central to the No Child Left Behind legislation and through AYP. However, AYP is no longer the cornerstone of the state’s accountability system. It is being replaced by the College and Career Readiness Performance Index or CCRPI, which takes a more comprehensive look at what makes a school a good school. An important part of the CCRPI is still how well our students do on state tests, but now also includes national testing programs, the Advanced Placement program, and SAT. In addition, all subject areas (Reading, Math, LA, Science and SS) are now considered.

  • Another way we are accountable to our community is through our annual report. Each year, we share important facts and information about the school system and schools with parents and the community.

  • Stephens County School System is Comprised of 5 Schools
