D-Day is the perfect time to honor the soldiers who trained at Camp Toccoa and all veterans who jumped at Normandy on June 6, 1944. The 10K Run and Memorial Walk will take you in the footsteps of the 18,000 who trained on Currahee Mountain during WWII.
Pre-registration recommended.
Registration: $35 per person if registered by (or postmarked by) May 13, 2024. Late registration and day of registration $40 per person
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to:
classicraceservices.com and runsignup.com
Shirts and Goodies: Are guaranteed to those who register by 5/13/2024. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. A limited number will be available on race day and given on a first come first serve basis. There will be plenty of refreshments.
Course: The course is partly paved but mostly dirt roads that go to the top of Currahee Mountain. It is a tough and hilly course.
Series Affiliation: Black Bag Race Series
Proceeds: All proceeds from the events will be used for the Camp Toccoa at Currahee Project to preserve the Legacy of Leadership exemplified by the men who trained there. Thank you for supporting the event and celebrating the Greatest Generation!
More Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
